i take it back. it's a good day. it's SMSRTF's day!!!

i don't really know how we got close. perhaps it was a common nemesis (ehem ehem) or a common friend. still, i shouldn't wonder about these things. the fact remains that we ended up friends, and that is one thing i will always be thankful for.

she's the type who will call you ugly if she chances upon you on a bad hair day, and yet you won't take offense, knowing she will compliment you if you are compliment worthy. you find yourself thankful she told you so that you can just go and brush your hair or get a makeover or something.

she will listen to your woes, drink with you, then tell you to MOVE ON! (i don't always follow, but i do take note.) :) she will watch angelina jolie with you, and drool with you and not think you weird. she will sit on the grass with you for two hours while waiting for a concert. she will share her mint m&m's. she will tease you forever about some guy she's rooting for. she will love you to bits, though she won't show it.

she's one of the greatest friends anyone can ever have. i lucky, i guess.

so there. i take it back. today is a good day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SMSRTF!!!

make it yesterday

today started bad. make it yesterday again please.

someone i know would nod and say "i could've told you that"

You are 73% Cancer

sleepin the day away

got to baguio this morning around 9 am. we left at 3:30 and got caught in traffic. it is a long weekend after all.

it's been a very tiring week for me, going home late and waking up early to go to work. excluding the shut-eye i got this morning in the car, i have had exactly 12 hours sleep since 6 am of monday morning. hate to admit it, but i'm getting too old for this.

so i slept most of the day away. yza was tucked into my shoulder and i woke up when she did.

still sleepy but hey, a couple more days of sleep would do me good.

breathing the same air

last friday rina and i found ourselves playing billiards while waiting for lily and billy to arrive. we were in the same billiard hall as the masters! to say we were overwhelmed would be an understatement. thank goodness we played decent games. :)

sans red

this was last year's post.

i still remember the bitterness, and the pain. i remember how it felt, but i don't feel it anymore.

time does wonders, you know. and i'm awfully thankful. i don't think i would want to bitch about that valentine's day and the flowers for the rest of my life.

still, valentine's day holds no charm for me. ah the drawbacks (advantages?) of being single.

if by some twist of fate someone gives me flowers, i can assure the world that i will say thank you and not bite his head off. :)

happy day to all. c",)

You Belong in 1978

If you scored...

1950 - 1959: You're fun loving, romantic, and more than a little innocent. See you at the drive in!

1960 - 1969: You are a free spirit with a huge heart. Love, peace, and happiness rule - oh, and drugs too.

1970 - 1979: Bold and brash, you take life by the horns. Whether you're partying or protesting, you give it your all!

1980 - 1989: Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

1990 - 1999: With you anything goes! You're grunge one day, ghetto fabulous the next. It's all good!

my evil twin is home...

lily's home.

for a while at least.

we were born on the same day of the same year. we went to the same high school and lived in the same dorm during our freshman year in college. she says i'm her evil twin, i say otherwise. but i guess that's just a question of who's referring to whom. :)

it's been almost 4 years since she left the country to work abroad. now she's happily married to a cool teddy bear of a man. last night we spent the night catching up on our lives, and the funny thing is, it was like she never left.

we always celebrated our birthday together, so when she left, our birthday was a little sad. but now she's here and though our birthday is months and months away, we will probably celebrate and party. and party was always something we did well.

so the next few weeks will probably be hectic. but hey, it's been four years. so what's a couple of weeks of late nights?

magnetic poetry part II

gone are the dreams
bitterness floods
through me like the sea.
i sing for a thousand deaths
but life robs me of my mad symphony
so i go on to live
and love.

murphy day, if there was one

woke up early this morning to cook breakfast and lunch and to get ready for work. washed dishes and all that. first hit of the day, got splashed by boiling oil. which was fine, it was something i was used to.

left the house and got caught in traffic. hit two. which was tolerable because it was something i had come to expect.

eventually i was back in the groove, singing while driving. only to find out that my car's temperature was going up steadily. soon as i saw that, i cut in front of the buses to go to the nearest gas station. the engine was smoking by this time. hit three.

hit four, no gas stations. ugh! finally stopped at a seminary and the guys there were kind enough to help me.

hit five, the fan was busted. which meant that no matter how much water i loaded, i was still in danger of overheating. damn.

finally headed for work. hit 6. was 30 minutes late. and there was an ongoing meeting. it was only 10:30. long day ahead of me.

should have stayed in bed.
